ANDREW MUKAMAL
Known as a Fashion Stylist, Brand Consultant and a Television/Web personality. Andrew works for the Seventeen Magazine as a stylist, this is where he focuses most of his time and attention on as fashion is his life.
Andrew was born in New York and raised in Westchester, Connecticut. He never really had any previous relation to the fashion world, studying History and graduating University of Virginia in his early years. But things started to take a shift in Andrew's life after returning to New York to work for Kelly Cutrone and taking up stylist assistant jobs. His interests and discovery in fashion had really began, not long after he received attention from Margot Robbie and Zoe Kravitz's for his work.
His taste in fashion is very neutral and minimalistic but elevated with a unique touch, having a special talent in styling a piece that is both modern luxury and a vintage mix. This can include garments like tailored blazers, fitted denim or oversized shirts to offer that clean and simple contrast for the client. Ensuring to add needed accessories or vintage props where necessary to enhance its worth and final effect. Patterns and textures are also just as important to him, he has an eye for the tiniest of detail.
WHAT INSPIRES ME ABOUT ANDREW MUKAMAL'S APPROACH TO FASHION
The influential people in fashion that I get inspired by all have one thing in common, and that's having a minimalistic approach in styling and photography.
Andrew really stood out to me, his attention to detail and the ways in which he incorporates a vintage feel to his simplistic pieces through pattern or accessories can be very admirable. Highlighting the client really well for every possible occasion by creating space for timeless fashion to stay timeless and still shed light on today's newer fashion. Keeping a perfect balance is what his best at within his stying career, nothing is ever too bland even if his approach is minimalistic. Having the capabilities to enrich a look into something deeper and magnetic through adding an additional hint of color, pattern, sequins, texture, ensuring perfect fitting and expensive jewelry.
Fashion can be expressed in a lot of forms, he has always had that fascination and interest in that self expression. That's why it almost comes natural to him as his mind is always seeking for creativity and wanting to help others express themselves too in the best possible ways. It's not necessarily that fashion styling is my own biggest interest in fashion, it's the attraction to using your creativity as a source of guidance for others seeking individualism and the freedom that comes with it.

Here's my collage showcasing a variety of Andrew's styled looks, working with a black, nude and slash of pink color palette to blend the images all together. I used stroke again to bring out the cut out figures against the colored shapes in order to create further visibility. Adding patterns, shapes and pencil lines was an experiment for myself to push my collages bit further.
